The menu of childhood-inspired favorites launches tomorrow
During the first two weeks, Reed will be asking for feedback from diners who want to share their two-cents on BCK’s offerings. The diner-kitchen interaction won’t stop there – a “Local’s Board” hanging next to the kitchen will allow diners to submit their favorite recipes to BCK’s chefs.
The bar team led by Matt Sharp (Bosscat), Crisia Araujo (Bosscat) and cocktail whiz Leslie Krockenberger have dreamt up a drinks menu inspired by childhood nostalgia. Look forward to cocktails like Dr. Feelgood, a rye whiskey concoction served in a Dr. Pepper can with crushed ice; Berry Crunch Milk Punch, featuring Buffalo Trace whiskey and Cap’n Crunch Crunch Berries; and the First Crush featuring Jim Beam Vanilla, Orange Crush soda, and cream.
BCK is debuting less than a year after Bosscat Kitchen + Libations launched at 4310 Westheimer in the River Oaks area. “We came up with this concept three years ago when we were still living in California,” Reed said in a statement. “When we came to Houston and discovered the Heights, we knew we found the perfect place to put it.”
BCK: Kitchen & Cocktail Adventures will operate from Monday through Saturday, 3 to 10 p.m., with the bar open late. Weekend brunch will start in March.
